TellMeBuddy

TellMeBuddy is an AI-powered pet companion designed to help pet owners make sense of changes they notice in their pets’ behavior and wellbeing. I developed the product as a conversational experience where owners can describe what they observe and receive contextual, easy-to-understand guidance in seconds.

Pet owners can find it difficult to interpret changes in everyday behavior and determine what information may be important. Existing information is often fragmented, overly technical, or difficult to apply to a specific situation. TellMeBuddy was designed to make this initial information-gathering experience more accessible through a simple conversational interface.

I built TellMeBuddy around an AI-assisted conversational experience that allows users to describe their observations naturally rather than navigating through complex forms or information databases. The product combines conversational guidance with structured pet information, progressive insights, and behavior tracking to create a more contextual experience.

I designed and developed the product experience, including the core application architecture, user interface, conversational workflow, AI interaction layer, pet insight experience, and supporting product functionality. I also focused on translating a technically complex AI system into an interface that feels simple and approachable for everyday users.

The product explores how conversational AI can be applied to a highly contextual everyday problem. Instead of presenting users with a static collection of pet-care information, TellMeBuddy uses conversation and context to make information easier to explore. A key design consideration was responsible AI: the product is positioned as supportive guidance and information rather than a replacement for professional veterinary advice.

TellMeBuddy demonstrates how conversational AI can turn a complex information experience into a more accessible product. The production application provides a working example of applying AI to a consumer-facing product while maintaining clear boundaries around responsible use.
